FAQs

What is SafeSwap?

SafeSwap is a New Zealand-based platform designed to reduce the risk of scams in peer-to-peer transactions. It allows users to check accounts for flags, submit suspicious accounts, and trade with confidence.

The Account Checker lets you search for accounts in our database to see if they’ve been flagged by other users. Simply enter the account details, and we’ll show any reported issues.

A flagged account has been reported by users for potentially suspicious or fraudulent activity. Each flag includes evidence provided by the reporter.

Visit the “Flag an Account” page, fill out the required details about the suspicious account, and upload any supporting evidence.

You can upload screenshots, payment confirmations, chat logs, or any other relevant material that supports your report.

Yes, your identity remains anonymous to other users. SafeSwap ensures your privacy while contributing to the community.

If you’ve made a mistake or have new information, you can contact us to review and potentially remove the flag.

Our database relies on user submissions, so the accuracy depends on the evidence provided. We encourage users to submit truthful and complete information.

While SafeSwap reduces the risk of scams, we cannot guarantee scam-free transactions. Always use caution when trading online
